8 Steps to Happiness – Our Process

Step 1: Consultation During First Site Visit
Here we listen to you and we get to know each other in your home. This is fun
because we get to share in your dreams and also understand your pain points. It is during this visit that we both determine if your project is a good fit for each other.
Step 2: Engaging our Team
We will talk about bracketed target range for your budget. We will then draft a design service retainer proposal for the initial phase 1 concept design and selections process.
Step 3: Feasibility & Flow (2-4 Weeks)
During the concept design and selections process we focus on defining the new space through CAD drawings and Renderings, and a detailed scope of work. We take detailed measurements and create two or three possibilities for our first floor plan meeting. Once you chose a concept we can begin creating the budget and enable us to curate selections for you to choose and you can join us at local showrooms to see the many possibilities.
Step 4: Refinement (2-4 Weeks)
We now work to price out the defined scope of work and options. During this phase, we also schedule trade visits to your home so that our trade partners can see the site and produce accurate bids. We collect pricing and quotes from all the material vendors. We will refine the scope of work and budget together, so that the final plan meets with your approval.
Step 5: Contract & Procurement
Now that most material selections are made, a floor plan is defined, and bids for
every part are gathered. We write the Construction Contract. A deposit is made for material procurement and scheduling. Having taken diligence to plan every detail, there are few if any change orders, notwithstanding surprises unseen until demo days. You are free to make changes to the project, however some selections can not be returned once ordered.
Step: 6 Scheduling & Execution (4-16 weeks)
We invite you to the Job Tread technology cloud based application so you can
view all the activities related to your project. About 1-2 weeks before
construction begins, our project manager will schedule a site meeting and
establish a weekly site check up with you. The communication circle is a daily
priority and seen through the Job Tread documentation. Our craftsmen are
thorough and clean. We make the process as comfortable for you and yours
as possible. Our clients love our attention to their comfort!
Step 7: The Reveal (1 Week)
Completion. We finalize your project on time and on budget with our “on purpose” intentional process. Our final day is a celebration. We will have completed all the refinement and the so called punch lists. The Reveal is our favorite part of the process, and it is truly gratifying to see your delight with what has been done. You are going to love how you feel in your new space!
Step 8: A home you love with quality that lasts!
A home you love to live in is now your reality! Your new space is organized and does not frustrate. You feel renewed energy as you live in this new home. This is what we mean by creating spaces that nourishes the soul!
